Why you should support this campaign

About this campaign:

Running as an independent, Kate McGraw didn't have built in resources like many first time candidates. Through Crowdpac, Kate created several campaigns around issues she cared about most. These pages allowed Kate to explain her ideas and gain support from artists and animal welfare activists and run a great campaign.

Original content:

A lifelong Independent, Kate McGraw comes from a large working class family of Pennsylvania dairy farmers. Born and raised in Monroe Township, Kate is a 1996 graduate of Cumberland Valley High School, and is an acclaimed regional artist with degrees from Penn State and Brooklyn College, and has completed coursework through the University of Vermont Agricultural Extension.

Kate knows that a well-funded public education is a keystone for success and she will fight to bring renewed prosperity to our public school system in York and Cumberland counties. In addition to public education support, Kate’s platform focuses on farmland preservation, increased health care access for populations including the elderly and those suffering from opioid addiction, and improvements in infrastructure in order to bring better paying jobs to our district.

As an advocate who can speak to the unique nature of our rural and developing region, Kate McGraw will be your trusted Representative for the varied issues facing our communities, schools and families in York and Cumberland counties of the 92nd Legislative District in the General Assembly.

Successful weekend at Dillsburg Farmer's Fair!

Hello!

We had a great weekend meeting new friends and supporters at Dillsburg Farmer's Fair this weekend. Check out the photos from the event: https://www.facebook.com/pg/electkatemcgraw/photos/?tab=album&album_id=1181470078562619

We were able to hand out many campaign items to spread the word, and equip volunteers with signs to place throughout the district.

It's crunchtime - funds are running low and Election Day is only 21 days away! If you are able to support Kate McGraw Independent with another donation, or promote my campaign to your friends and family - I really appreciate it.

Thank you again for the tremendous amount of support! I wouldn't have gotten this far without your generosity.

Cheers!

Kate

Less than $1000 to go to reach our $3K goal!

I have great news! Your donations to Kate McGraw's Independent campaign for State Representative have allowed the purchase of a postcard mailing that reached 2400 voters, yards signs, buttons, bumper stickers, online advertising and custom screen printed canvas totes that we are going to hand out at the Dillsburg Farmers Fair next weekend!

Kate's name is getting out there - but we need to keep climbing. If you can take a few moments today to share Kate's campaign with your friends and family, that would be an additional help.

Thank you all who have donated and shared! Onward!

Good news!

I have great news! This Crowdpac campaign has raised enough money for us to purchase our first mailing, some bumper stickers and yard signs! We are thrilled to have the opportunity to get the word out in the 92nd District. Of course, these items were expensive and we still need to raise more money for more materials to keep the momentum going, and gain visibility in the district.

Please consider passing this campaign along, and share. Thank you again! - you are helping us spread the word about a campaign focused on the issues that matter the most to Voters in the 92nd District. Onward!

New fundraising goal raised to $3000 - We're on a roll!

Thank you supporters for making my first campaign fundraiser an overwhelming success! Not only did we raise $1500, we did it at record breaking speed. I have you all to thank for your belief in this campaign, and continued support.

Running for public office comes with a pretty big price tag, and unfortunately, this aspect to running for office can deter some of the best and brightest talent. To keep the momentum going and to draw more people to my campaign, we have decided to raise our fundraising goal to $3000. I think we can do this!

Your contributions to my campaign are sending the message that we want smart, passionate and committed people to have a fair shake at running for public office – regardless of their financial status or placement by a political party.

As an Independent candidate with no major party affiliation, the financial burden is even greater, as most candidates have the financial support of their respective parties. My campaign is about focusing on the concerns of the people I represent, not the concerns of a particular party or well-funded special interest group.

Please share my campaign with anyone who believes that running for public office should be more accessible to those who are better suited for the job, and not just shoe-ins or party placeholders. The more money I can raise, the more people I will be able to reach out to in the 92nd District.

Thank you for your continued support. Onward!
