Tomorrow is the last chance to stop the Obamacare repeal before the next Congressional recess.
The GOP are trying to ram this bill through BEFORE the Congressional Budget Office has a chance to score and measure the bill's impact.
We can stop this bill but we must act now—call your Member of Congress!
After you make the call, be sure to click the "I got through" button and let us know how the call went in the comments!
I'm saddened by the callousness of the new proposal.
From what I understand, the new bill would leave 24 million Americans without health insurance and let states opt-out of rules which protect sick folks from having their rates hiked.
I can't support it, and I won't support [TARGET] unless they oppose the bill. I won't just vote against [TARGET], I'll also organize against their chances of re-election.
Let's fix Obamacare, not replace it with something worse!
Thank you for your time.
** Relevant facts **
- States can waive benefit rules. This will most likely mean that certain benefits, like maternity coverage, are rarely covered in the states with waivers.
- Eliminating community rating would undermine Obamacare’s guarantee of coverage for people with pre-existing conditions, which President Trump and many Republican lawmakers have said they value.
- The Republican bill would increase the gap in insurance fees for the elderly, compared to younger insurance holders, from 3:1 to 5:1. It gets worse: states could waive that rule and establish a higher ratio under the amendment.
- Republicans are rushing this bill to a vote before the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office can score it.
Two years ago, the American public won a resounding victory when the FCC ruled in favor of Net Neutrality. We celebrated and thought the fight was over. We were wrong.
We are now watching Trump, the Republicans, and FCC Chairman Pai dismantle the internet data protections and neutrality put in place by Obama’s FCC. They have made clear that their next target is to kill Net Neutrality.

The simple of it is as the header says we are connecting the progressive community through focused online communication. But what exactly does that mean? It means 3 key things we’ll breakdown for you community, action, and impact.TwitterStorm Community
A Twitterstorm is about the left uniting around one key issues or topic and raising awareness about it as a united community. It’s all about volume and consistency and making sure you invite in your friends. That means when you see a Twitterstorm happening DM you friends on Twitter, message your friends on Facebook, invite in your local left groups to get in and get loud. #UniteBlue is here to help unite groups across the left get together and work as one big community.TwitterStorm Action
A good Twitterstorm has a good theory of change. UniteBlue will often partner with other left leaning organizations to drive awareness about an under discussed issue, push for a particular policy, or get a change in legislation. It’s important to be part of the action at the targeted time to get the conversation as big as possible and bring in as many people as possible.TwitterStorm Impact
The best Twitterstorm outcome is to have a clear impact on changing narrative, raising awareness, or having a noticeable impact on a target. Even if you are coming in late be sure to use the targeted #hashtag, links, and mentions of the targets because helping sustain conversation on that issue over time can also lead to the impact we all need.
The majority of Democrats in the Senate have shown courage by committing to filibuster the nomination of Judge Gorsuch, who is an unprecedented right-wing pick for the court.
His past decisions have been anti-woman and anti-worker.
Call your senator today to THANK THEM for their courage and keep up the fight, unless you live in ND, WV, IN, or CO, where your Democratic Senator (below) has not committed to filibuster.
Sen. Joe Manchin (W.Va.)
Sen. Heidi Heitkamp (N.D.)
Sen. Joe Donnelly (Ind.)
Sen. Michael Bennet (Colo.)
*** IF YOUR SENATOR IS NOT FILIBUSTERING: ***
"Hello, my name is and I’m a constituent of [TARGET] I’m calling about the filibuster of Judge Gorsuch. I’d like to let [TARGET] know that their lack of courage in filibustering Judge Gorsuch is bad for our country. Gorsuch is an extremely anti-worker and anti-women judicial nominee and I'm saddened that [TARGET] isn't joining the fight to opposing his nomination."
#HB142 is nothing more than the fake repeal of #HB2. Worse, it allows #LGBTQ discrimination for 3+ years. Lipstick can’t hide this pig.
"This was the first real test of leadership for Gov. Cooper, a Democrat, and he failed spectacularly by inexplicably discarding his earlier promise not to accept any deal that left people vulnerable to discrimination."
