My decision to file for the Multnomah Education Service District was an easy one to make. The experience I had at 14 had a major impact on my life and it shaped my values, my dedication, and my passion to dismantle barriers for our most vulnerable populations. We live in a world that upholds white supremacy culture and the patriarchal society. It’s a harmful one that leaves our most vulnerable communities—youth, elders, non-English speakers, low-income, houseless, immigrants, undocumented and those with diverse abilities—behind. I am ready to join the circle of passionate, dedicated community members to rally with our youth so they can achieve full excellence.
