My name is Claudia Zapata. I’m the daughter of a teacher and a product of my familia. I was raised in the neighborhoods of South Austin and East Austin; the “rural country” of Kyle and the barrios of Mission, Texas.

We're launching something big! 2022 x 2022!

Today I launched 2022 x 2022 which is my effort to register and engage 2,022 historically excluded voters by Jan. 1, 2022. Voters who have been excluded from campaign outreach and policy conversations because "they don't vote". 

I can't tell you how many times I've heard this phrase used by Democratic candidates--well let me tell you something. It's not that folks don't vote, it's just that no one has cared.

I care, and you do, too.
