Koryn Sheppard is a Certified Family Law Specialist running for Superior Court Judge in the 2024 election.
She has practiced family law in San Diego for fifteen years. She is currently on the San Diego Family Law Bar Association board and is a frequent MCLE contributor. Koryn is an adjunct professor at Thomas Jefferson School of Law. She teaches California Civil Procedure.
Koryn wants to continue giving back to the community through public services as a Superior Court Judge. The family courts touch the lives of so many in our community- including the children in the community. In fact, more people will contact the judicial system through the family court than other areas of the law. Family law also crosses over nearly every other area of law. This breadth of experience with legal issues makes Koryn uniquely qualified to be a Judge.
The community and practitioners deserve a Judge who is dedicated to providing families with informed solutions during a difficult time, and who has the experience to make a real difference in their lives.
While family law is non-traditional for a Superior Court Judge, diversity in professional legal experience benefits the community.
