I am a Chester County mother of two who is tired of  seeing education, healthcare, and the environment under prioritized by our state legislature.  Meanwhile, the gas & oil lobbies line the halls of the chambers of Harrisburg peddling money and influence, and our elected officials consistently choose corporate profits over public health, public safety, and the preservation of our natural resources.

This is why I am launching a 2018 campaign to become Pennsylvania’s State Representative for the 155th  District.

Like many of you, I always thought that while I was juggling the complexities of work and a home life with young children, our elected officials were busy protecting our best interests. Sadly, this has not been true in Harrisburg. While working families struggle to meet basic challenges of health care, child care, and education, our government is busy catering to corporate interests.  Career politicians promote tax breaks and deregulation, and allow corporations to abuse our private property rights, contaminate our local  environment and jeopardize the health, welfare, and safety of our communities.

The issues our communities face  today are pivotal to all of our lives and livelihoods. The decisions that are being made RIGHT NOW are decisions that will impact our children for years to come.  In the 155th District, The Mariner East pipeline project, is just one disturbing example of how corporate influence over elected representatives has led to a lack of accountability for corporations, allowing them to wreak  havoc in our communities and put our most vulnerable populations at risk.  As a founder of both Uwchlan Safety Coalition and Del-Chesco United for Pipeline Safety, I have been a leader in the fight to demand transparency, accountability, and corporate responsibility.  Meanwhile, our incumbent representative has sat silently as her constituents have begged her to be their voice.  Her voting record consistently demonstrates that the oil & gas donors who fund her campaign have a stronger influence on her vote than the people she is sworn to represent.

I am ready to take this fight to Harrisburg and give a voice  to our community on this and many other important issues.

I believe in the philosophy of servant leadership. I will advocate for our district and I will organize to bring people together to solve challenging problems. I believe in collaboration, civility, and the common good.  At the very heart of my values is a belief that it is our duty to protect and serve all members of society. Quality affordable healthcare is a right, not a privilege. All children have a right to a first-rate public education. Choices about family planning belong in the home, the doctor's office, and in the spiritual guide of each individual's choice- government has no place in these decisions. We have a responsibility to be stewards of our Earth and to protect and sustain our natural resources for future generations. Businesses have a responsibility to be good corporate citizens in the communities that they call home. Democracy is government for and by the people-not corporate lobbies, and not in the interest of protecting political careers.   These are the values and the commitment that I will bring to Harrisburg.

Defeating an incumbent is not an easy task, especially as lobbyists line up to stake their claim on OUR vote in Harrisburg.  I believe that We The People can work together to make a change in Harrisburg and a change at home.  Your pledge to my campaign will help to bring accountability, transparency and a vote that is not for sale to corporate interests.  I ask you to stand with me today to reclaim our voice and our vote in the chambers of government.   Together, we can protect and preserve Chester County and the 155th legislative district.
