I’m a young mother who has a passion for helping others. I am currently in school to become an educator. I have always had a calling to public service and it is ultimately where I feel I belong. I pride myself on being honest and ethical and will be the first person to call someone out for it. In the past 5 years I have been married, had a child, and have gone through a divorce, all before the age of 25. During my experience going through the Florida family courts system I have seen sign after sign that I’m being called to run for senate.

Going through an extremely taxing divorce process, I have found that there are a lot of circumstances in Florida law that have loopholes that abusers can utilize to make life extremely difficult for those who have left the abusive relationship. These laws surrounding domestic violence, sexual abuse, and even emotional and mental abuse, don’t protect the women, children, and in some cases the men, who often fall victim to narcissistic and abusive people. Legislation surrounding mental health, domestic violence victims, and sexual abuse and assault victims are often left to the wayside while the “real issues” are tackled. Well those are real issues. As far as domestic abuse and sexual offenses go I feel we still need to have higher standards in how they are dealt with in criminal courts. If I am elected, I will bring a fresh look to Florida politics. One that will make a difference for my generation and my daughters generation. I will pride myself in advocating for the people that need it most. Another thing near and dear to my heart is the LGBT community. The fight to make sure rights that ensure protection of jobs, housing, and visibility are state wide instead of cherry picked by the cities or counties. Protections enacted for all citizens and beneficial legislation to meet the needs of every person living in Florida. I will be inclusive in my goals, and tackle every vote with an open mind as I know I am still learning about each and every community. Florida is a place I hold in my heart. I have lived in Seminole County my entire life and I would love to be the person to represent my City, County and State. My contributions will go to local small businesses to help make my campaign come to life. Giving back to the community is extremely important, and seeing the growth because of it is just as rewarding.
