 From living below the poverty line to working two jobs to put myself through college, I believe that I represent the struggles that the hardworking people of my district face because I have been there and that is the kind of person that I would want to represent me in congress. I am exploring a run for congress in 2020 in Maryland's 2nd congressional district because I believe that I can bring a different perspective to Washington and I also represent everyday working people. I am a young progressive who believes that young people have the power to impact the future. I started as a community organizer as a college student at Salisbury University and began to get involved in local organizations like the Lower Shore Progressive Caucus and eventually, I had the opportunity to intern for a congressional candidate. I served as the Vice President of the Salisbury University College Democrats and ran for my first local office last year. After winning my first election, I became a member of the Wicomico County Democratic Central Committee, where I serve as the Secretary.

My platform includes:

-Medicare for all

-Supporting the Green New Deal

-Abolishing ICE

-Focusing on Criminal Justice Reform

-Debt Free Education

-$15 minimum wage
