Kelsey is seeking re-election to the Hastings School Board in November and she would love to earn your support. Over the last four years on the board, Kelsey has advocated for more equitable schools, environmentally friendly practices, and financial responsibility. Kelsey is currently pursuing her PhD in Public Policy from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs where she is researching racial disparities, organization change, and the role that social movements and community empowerment can have in making change happen.
Kelsey grew up in Northern Illinois before leaving for college, traveling with the military, and settling down in Hastings. Kelsey is the mother of two amazing children (although sometimes her spouse acts like a third). Kelsey and her family have two dogs, two adorable rabbits, three gerbils, and 100,000 honey bees.
Kelsey would love to the opportunity to continue representing our community on the school board and be a voice for equitable practices that ensure each and every child in our district has the opportunity to reach their full potential. If you would like to help get Kelsey re-elected, there are many different opportunities to help. Let us know how you'd like to get involved!
