Dr. Tenisha Mack empowers others through service. She gives a voice to the unheard as she listens and acts with regard to the input of others. Dr. Tenisha Mack has been invested in the City of Garfield Heights since 2009. She is passionate about the success of others. Not only does she converse with and listen to those in her community, she puts her words into actions. To move towards a more transparent style of leadership. Dr. Mack is the elect Central Committeewoman in Ward 2-C. Dr. Mack founded the Garfield Heights Community Club in Ward 2, a club that informs the community with up to date news and happenings in the community. 

With a vision of growth for her community, Dr. Mack has hosted a plethora of events built around providing resources to community families to ease their burdens so they can focus on other important obligations and goals. These events have included a Winter Wear Giveaway providing coats, hats, gloves, and other winter gear for area families, the City of Garfield Heights Firefighters Firehouse Christmas Event, Breast Cancer Awareness Walk, Easter Dinner giveaways, Father’s Day basket giveaways, and many others. Dr. Mack is truly a woman of the people.

Her passion does not stop at providing material resources. Dr. Mack possesses the intellectual capacity and qualifications to encourage and assist people with realizing their greatest potential. Her early adult life was a perplexing journey, met with some challenging decisions. She knew wanted to help others to possibly make different decisions, so she found comfort in education. Her journey started at Cleveland State University where she earned two Baccalaureates: one in Sociology and the other in Criminal Justice. She continued her education at American Public University where she earned a master’s degree in Criminal Justice. Realizing that continuing education was a passion, Dr. Tenisha Mack earned one of the highest honors in education. She earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Criminal Justice from Walden University and she was awarded the Doctoral Leadership Excellence Award. Her educational endeavors do not stop at degreed specializations, Dr. Mack is also a Certified Anger Management Specialist (CAMS-II), and Theft Prevention Specialist.

Dr. Mack’s educational qualifications and passions have led her to engage with multiple areas of the Garfield Heights community. She is a member of the Garfield Heights Democratic Club, she is a former Vice President of Garfield Heights Middle School PTA, and a former Girl Scout Troop Leader (Troup 70522). Outside the city of Garfield Heights, Dr. Mack is also a member of Alpha Phi Sigma National Criminal Justice Honor Society, Kappa Kappa Chapter, NSLS National Society of Leadership and Success, Matroits member, and a member of Nu Alpha Psi Sorority. 

When she is not building up her community, Dr. Mack operates M.A.C.K. (Motivating and Connecting Knowledge) Community Support Services LLC where she teaches Anger Management and Theft Prevention and also works as an Adjunct Professor at Bryant & Stratton College. With all of the education that Dr. Mack has obtained over the years, she feels it is only right to share her knowledge with as many people as possible. 

Though she finds passion in helping others, Dr. Mack’s favorite pastime is spending her nonworking hours with her four beautiful children and grandson.
