I believe it is important to maintain a variety of voices and perspectives on the Blacksburg Town Council. I am a small business owner, employer here in Blacksburg, a mother of 4 school age kids, and active community member. 

I am a hands on activist.  I organized the Love Thy Neighbor community conversations in the Fall of 2018.  I spearheaded the Lights for Liberty rally in Blacksburg in July 2019 to protest the inhumane conditions faced by migrants detained by the US at our southern borders.  This year I was an active volunteer of our Medical Reserve Corps answering the COVID vaccine hotline to make vaccine appointments as well as helping with the mass vaccination clinics in Christiansburg and Radford.

I believe our community leaders need to be true community members, in action and deed.  I am grateful to live in such a welcoming and caring Town, and I will continue to do my best to give back in any way I am able.
