For eight years, I have proudly served the voters of the Carlsbad Unified School District (CUSD) as Trustee in Area 5. My priorities have been to build partnerships and make responsible decisions for our students, parents, educators, and community. I worked to increase student achievement, improve school safety, and encourage long-term strategic planning to promote accountability in our District.
My longtime experience as a member of the education community, and my dedication to public service, have made me an effective leader on the Carlsbad School Board for two terms. I have advocated for fiscally responsible decisions which support long-term stability, a safe learning environment for our students, and strong citizen oversight, while working to achieve our goals.
The many successes of CUSD have been made possible by the generous partnerships forged within Carlsbad and throughout San Diego County. I am thankful to the community for entrusting me to help accomplish our shared mission for our students, families, teachers, and staff.
